Despite a couple of repairs, this specimen was still exceptional enough to end up in Freilich's collection. In fact, for a Stak Nala piece, it could hardly be better. The accenting cleavelandite contrasts with and exposes the full lengths of the two crystals perfectly (the longer is 7 cm, by the way). The crystals grade from dark green, to light green, to a lovely transparent pink. The terminations are perfect. Just a gorgeous mineral specimen. I paid $2500 for it and then dropped the flat it was in in my haste to pack up after Tucson of 2002. Only just got around to repairing it. Both tourmalines are DOUBLY-TERMINATED and complete (the repairs are very clean and don't show except on close examination). 7.8 x 6.5 x 3.8 cm
