This is a beautiful, balanced miniature featuring a very large and well-formed, translucent octohedron of classic rose-pink color. It comes from two MAJOR older European collections: first, the very famous Metzger collection from Vienna, known for his choice in aesthetic European classics; then to the Schwethelm Collection. Bruckner purchased this collection and kept some few specimens, which fit his choice miniatures suite, such as this one. This crystal is to almost 3 cm on largest edges! It has a few small contacted or growth-disrupted portions, which do not visually detract. The crystal is contact-repaired back to the matrix as well, but so cleanly you would not know if nothing was said about it (I did not know when I bought it, until the owner told me that he was told this by Schwethelm). Ex. Metzger Collection, Ex. Schwethelm Collection
