The Rubies from Jagdalek are among some of the most well known and superbly crystallized Ruby specimens around. This specimen features a remarkably sharp, very well formed, semi-lustrous, reddish-pink color prismatic crystal on a marble matrix. The Ruby measures 1.6 cm long. The crystal is not at all opaque as the majority of these specimens tend to be. The crystal also has superb form with a distinct basal pinacoid. The color in this crystal is really beautiful, and the overall quality of the piece leaves nothing to be desired. These specimens have truly risen in price on the market in recent years, and it seems that they are not being found as frequently as they once were.
