Highly lustrous, sharp, jet-black ilvaite crystals to 1.6 cm are very aesthetically clustered on the undulating matrix of glassy, light gray quartz crystals. The two major clusters are pristine. Specimens of this classic combination quality came out in the early 1990s, with the first flood of fine Dal'negorsk material. Very few specimens of this quality have been found since. Ex. Joan Massague Collection.
