Malachite after Azurite pseudos are an absolute classic from Tsumeb, and this is a fine example. This specimen consists of two major crystals on and intergrown with numerous smaller pseudos, as well as a bit of matrix. The largest crystal is after a blocky Azurite that was 2.5 x 1.9 cm, and the smaller of the major crystals has a rhombohedral cross-section 2.1 cm on edge. The Malachite has a shimmery, fibrous habit that has great visual 'depth' as the light moves across the specimen, like shimmering waves. A very good small cabinet specimen.
