Elongated clusters of lustrous, jet-black, tetragonal, pagoda-like hausmannite crystals richly and aesthetically fill a vein on both sides of the massive manganite matrix on this fine specimen from the Wessels Mine of South Africa - source of the world's best hausmannite crystals. This fine small cabinet is highly representative example of the species and locality. Ex. Charlie Key dealer stock.
