This is a very hard-to-obtain, shallow pocket of LARGE azurite crystals from the Milpillas Mine in Mexico. These crystals have a terrific Tsumeb-like luster and color, and measure to one centimeter. The specimen was extracted without damage to the fine crystals except for a few that contacted the other side of this shallow vug, which are sheared off where they contacted the pocket wall. Velvety acicular malachite adds a pretty color accent around the specimen edges. Quite fine, for what it is!
