Very fine plate of densely intergrown, highly-translucent, green Fluorite from the Cacalia Mine in Bavaria. The hundreds upon hundreds of Fluorites, which range up to 8 mm on edge, are sharp and lustrous. Quite aesthetic, this is one of my favorite Fluorites that I have had from the Cacalia Mine. Better in person, I think, because you can really tell and appreciate the 3-dimensional and subtly complex stacked mounding of the Fluorites, which give the piece a nice dimensionality and aesthetic. Prominently illustrated in the recent 64-page article on Kay in Mineralien Welt (6-2017).
