This special combination specimen of aquamarine with a dramatic schorl inclusion in its base stands unique among a small pocket of ultra-glassy, gem crystals found in the fall of 2011 and sold to me at the Munich show of that year. I bought the whole pocket (shown in the What's New in the Munich show report, in Mineralogical Record of Jan 2012). They were just too exceptional! This is the only smaller cluster of the quality of the lot. It is a complete-all-around "jewel" with no damage or flaws. Joe Budd photos.
