Zanazziite, Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz)
This is a superb specimen of a very rare phosphate from a world-famous locality. Zanazziite is a hydrated calcium magnesium iron aluminum beryllium phosphate and some of the finest crystals of this species are found at this locality. This piece has a scattering of good sized, semi lustrous, well-formed, translucent, green spheroids of the rare phosphate Zanazziite which are sitting on translucent Smoky Quartz crystal matrix. The aesthetics and superb quality of the Zanazziite spheres on this specimen make it a great treasure. This specimen is over 25 years old and is from the ORIGINAL find from the 1970's that was brought to the United States by Richard Kosnar.
