Description
A showy and excellent, old-time combination piece from Zinnwald, Czech Republic of lustrous, light taupe scheelite crystals to 4 mm attached to lustrous, silvery, platy zinnwaldite books on massive quartz. Zinnwaldite is a discredited mica species, first described from Zinnwald. The scheelite crystals are arranged particularly nicely on the zinnwaldite books. The piece comes with a Hugh Ford label, a prominent United States dealer from the 1920s to early 1950s. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 7.5 x 6.2 x 5.3 cm
