Hematite
A striking cluster of parallel-growth, mirror-bright, metallic-gray hematite blades from Brazil. These relatively rare hematite "iron roses" are best-known from Brazil and the Alps. This is a thick one is and when looked at from the edge you can see that it consists of more than several dozen separate platy crystals pressed together. It is a very thick cluster, unusually so; weighing 560 grams. Ex. Wes Parker Collection. Hard to obtain old material.
