This is an important specimen of unusually large size and visual impact, consisting of splendent, metallic-gray, dodecahedral skutterudite crystals in a massive 3-dimensional cluster. This is a rare cobalt arsenate. The crystals reach 1.0 cm on a side and appear to have grown in a roseate pattern. As this large plate is covered with fine skutterudite crystals, its importance and value cannot be trivialized. You just seldom see ANY good skutterudite for sale anymore from this classic locale, beyond miniatures with damage.
