Stunning gemmy to translucent, polychrome elbaite crystal that grades from medium watermelon at the base to a thick, 1.1 cm green zone with the last millimeter of this horizontal zone being gem clear then abruptly transitions into a 2 mm pinkish purple zone then finally topped by a dark violet, 1 mm layer at the terminus. Prism faces have a glassy luster and the pedion has a satin to dull luster. Trace of microchipping very locally along the edges. Weighs 8.21 grams.
