On a sliver of matrix are two 'invisible", penetration twins, of glassy and gemmy, colorless fluorite crystals, to 3.5 cm on an edge. The crystals are so gemmy they look like ice cubes and came out in the 1990s - instant classics for the locality! At the time, few were perfect and most had come out long before, perhaps the late 1980s. This piece is of an aesthetic quality that makes it jump from the shelf, with top clarity and top luster like glass. One crystal corner exhibits some damage but it is hard to see except up close amidst all the clarity and transparency, and so the overall beauty of the crystals is still amazing as a specimen, just worth a little less because of the bit of edge wear. It could be restored, to make it "fixed" with a bit of plastic epoxy added, but I think it is not necessary and is beautiful as is. Art Soregaroli Collection.
