A large, complete stalactite of quartz, with no contacts or damage and the tip intact and crystal-covered, from Uruguay. Most of these are amethystine, and it is actually more unusual to see one of colorless quartz. The bottom, where the stalactite was sliced off, has been polished to show the concentric deposition rings of the core and the radiating pattern of the crystals that grew on it.
