This is just a spectacular Spanish combo piece, as you can see. There is this incredibly aesthetic balance to it. First, you have platy rhombs of unusually transparent, lustrous blue baryte, to just under 2 centimeters on edge. Next to the barytes are clustered a number of milky, translucent calcites. And at the other end of the specimen are gemmy, golden-yellow fluorites with fantastic luster (to 1.3 cm). The whole thing comes together so beautifully! Barytes are very rare for this locality especially associated with the fluorite which is classic here. From the collection of fluorite specialist Alain Martaud, a dealer and collector in France.
