Quartz Var. Amethyst
This specimen has several things going for it. It is aesthetically perched on colorless, to pastel purple, quartz crystals, to 1.0 cm in length. The amethyst cluster is deeply colored, well formed, and gemmy, with the largest crystal being 4.0 cm in length. To top it off, the amethyst crystals are sceptered. Very nice! Add on the loclaity value of it being from Mexico (and unusual in form for Mexico), and it becomes really quite desirable.
