Chalcedony (Var: Agate)
This is a large and beautiful specimen of ancient coral that has been fossilized (pseudomorphed) by black agate. It has been sliced and polished to show the beauty, showing off its botryoidal interior and swirling patterns in the black agate surrounding the natural "vug." Ex. Elling Collection.
