Typically the Magnetite specimens from this locality are closely grown together, but this one has good "space" between the crystals. The piece has excellent quality, large, razor sharp, lustrous, black, "Alpine-type" octahedra on specimen which are associated with small, blocky white Feldspar crystals. The largest Magnetite crystal measures 1.7 cm. across. This piece is one of the finer small cabinet size specimens from the fubd and will display very nicely. It is very hard to convey the quality of these crystals in the photographs, but the crystals of Magnetite are good quality and very attractive. 9.4 x 6.0 x 2.5cm
