A transparent, incredibly lustrous, quartz crystal, has grown around the thickest blades of golden rutile I have ever seen included in quartz of this size. The quartz crystal measures 6.5 cm in length and is super-gemmy and clear, with internal brightness. The blades of rutile appear to display chatoyancy and are themselves of high luster, the best quality. On top of all this, the specimen is on matrix. The back side of the piece is contacted, but this is of no cosequence. Because of the sharp termination, the incredible luster on both species, the high quality of both species, and the shocking combination they make, I believe this is the best specimen I have seen of this combination I have ever seen in a miniature/small cab size range. It is expensive because the guy I got it from, also knew this. But, for all that the price is higher than I would prefer to have to charge, its worth it for the superlative quality.
