A rare GEM CRYSTAL of allanite, almost an inch in length, and fully protected by a natural cavity in this well trimmed and excellent miniature! This is of superb quality, and quite rare for the locality in terms of sheer size of the crystal. To get such a crystal ON MATRIX, though, and pristine as well...its almost unheard of! The zone of mining here is now gone, and these French REE species are fast becoming irreplaceable classics. 5.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 cm
