Green Pyromorphites from Bad Ems are highly desirable, and are much more rare than their brown counterparts. This SUPERB, classic toenail has sharp, hexagonal barrels that are olive-green and highly lustrous, and the largest is 8 mm and equant. The balance of the piece is excellent, with the Pyros nicely distributed and the main crystal perched beautifully. To my eye, the aesthetics are an absolute knockout, with outstanding display quality from several angles. Pristine, pieces of this quality are highly sought after. This renowned mine closed in 1913. Purchased from the collection of Mary and Jim Walker in 1997.
