Quartz has replaced the original selenite "rose" here, creating a perfect pseudomorph that retains the form of the original selenite. One of several fine pseudomorphs in this auction that we found at the recent Denver show, from the Belsher collection. FROM A COLLECTOR RE: THE LOCALITY: I think it is from near Crawford in Dawes County, Nebraska (western Neb.). I have a couple collected by Dan Belsher from there (he scooped up a lot of them in the 1970s, I would not be surprised if yours is/are also via him). If I remember correctly, they are fairly fluorescent (green I believe). 4.4 x 4.1 x 3.3 cm
