You usually think of lepidolite as a humble accenting mineral, in little blooms or microcrystals on tourmaline specimens, for example. But here is an unusual example of a cabinet-sized specimen of lepidolite alone! It is a large, extremely thick "book" of hundreds of thin layers of this pretty lavender-colored mica variety.
