A highly desired species, this is a relatively large crystal of Euclase from the famous pegmatites here. The Euclases from this locality are quite distinct, and known for their vertical blue "stripes," and the robust fat nature of the crystals. The display face is in excellent condition, with the vivid blue stripe figured prominently, dead center. Naturally, there is contacting at the base and back, as is typical with such crystals. I have had many smaller examples of Euclase from Equador, but this is one of the largest around for robust size. The aesthetics are excellent - the pics tell the story.
