Some of the most classic fluorites for all of the U.S. came from the historic Sunnyside mine in southwestern Colorado. This is an excellent example of a sharp, translucent, pastel-green octahedron richly sprinkled with tiny rhodochrosites. The two primary faces with the rhodochrosites are lightly frosted, while the third face with no rhodochrosites is glassy and lustrous. Ex. John Ydren Collection. Excellent purple fluorescence.
