A complete, beautiful and very gemmy crystal of tourmaline from the Himalaya; doubly terminated, with no attachments or contacts. The color goes from a bottle-green through the center to a brighter bluish-green at one termination, and bright pink at the other. It has two fine triangular terminations; one of them (the pink end) has an area of very shallow etching. Weighs 40 grams. It is notable for the length of the green zone, unusual in Himalayas of this style and termination. It would date from the Ralph Potter mining days, or before, prior to 1972.
