A large, fine rhodochrosite rhomb with excellent cherry-red color and luster from recent Chinese finds. The crystal is partially euhedral and is nicely accented with pyrite and galena. Some of the faces are contacted or cleaved, but it remains a large highly representative example of the species and locale.
