Perovskite is an uncommon titanium oxide and this superb Italian combination specimen features a 1.1 cm, highly lustrous, pseudocubic, brown perovskite crystal associated with discrete, sharp, gray to brown magnetite crystals on a very sculptural, V-shaped wedge matrix of chlorite schist. This very fine specimen is from a classic locality - Rocca Sella. Ex. Rolf Wein Collection, a noted Alpine specialist and purchased in 1977.
