Scintillating, gemmy, electric-blue azurite crystals to 5 mm line an elongated series of interconnected vugs in the cabinet matrix of rhyolite. The contrasting primary malachite is a nice accent. This outstanding old-time specimen is from the Consie Prince Collection. These Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas azurites are perhaps the gemmiest azurites in the world, rivaling the best from Tsumeb or Morocco. Specimens of this quality mostly came out the 1950s, so this is old-time material.
