An exceptional example of rarely-crystallized alunite, from this important locality for the species. Seldom, however, are they seen on the market today. Alunite from this locality is generally regarded as best of species. Very little material ever made it to outside markets though. I have seen nothing recently, except for a small lot I obtained in around 2000-2001 from which this specimen originally came.
