An old-time and aesthetic cabinet cluster of glassy and transparent amethyst crystals with a variable purple color intensity from a classic South Carolina locality - Due West. The fat, upright crystal is 4.9 x 4.2 x 4.0 cm and some of the other crystals are doubly terminated, including the largest, at 6.8 cm. The small bed of milky quartz crystals is a very nice accent. Some of the finest Eastern USA amethysts have come from Due West. Accompanied by a Larry Conklin label. Ex. Feist Collection.
