A fine, old-time and classic, bladed azurite "ball" from the mines at Chessy, France. This excellent piece is a pristine floater and the lustrous azurite blades have gorgeous, royal-blue color. Seldom are floater balls available in this quality and size (360 grams). The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is an outstanding example of a classic form and species. Ex. John Ydren Collection.
