This large thumbnail specimen is hands down one of the best talcs, period. It has superb crystallization, with translucent, waxy crystals and no damage. This is very old material from the classic days of the Vermont mining district here, probably 30-80 years old, and seldom seen on the market today. Although "just talc," these crystallized specimens are valued quite highly as they are almost unique examples of the crystallized habit of this normally massive mineral species, and at only a few other places in the world can you get comparable (notably in Italy, again where they are rare, and the color there is not so intense as the Vermont specimens).
