This is a MAGNIFICENT CABINET gem tourmaline. I obtained it in a lucky purchase via satellite phone email from the mines, on its way down the hills to Peshawar, yet uncleaned. The gemminess and luster of this blue-green beauty are off the charts. The lower half of the crystal is lighter, as the core is light pink. The STRIKING pyramidal termination is partially parallel-growth making for a bit of depth to the crystal surfaces. The termination looks like the top of an Art Deco skyscraper in New York City. It is very dramatic. Hefty at 250 grams, over half a pound!
