Perhaps the finest piece in this lot of rosterites, this specimen features several, tabular, lustrous and translucent, deep sky blue crystals, to 2.4 cm across. The crystals have the highest luster, color, and form. They are set in a natural artistic pattern with the displays edge-on, showing the most color and luster. The largest crystal is doubly terminated and all the crystals exhibit interesting "sandwich" effects caused by parallel growth or zoning during development. Superb display quality specimen from this rare find. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
