Apatite var. Fluorapatite
Excellent single crystal of sapphire-blue Apatite, on matrix, from Brazil. This beauty is gemmy to translucent, with an sharp crystal form and termination. The color is very good for the species, and the balance and aesthetics are top notch. These came out only once, and it was in the early 2000's, in such size and contrast to the nice matrix. Many peopled called them "Paraiba apatite" at the time. A very attractive, full-sized thumbnail specimen of this uncommon material. Ex. Wendell Wilson.
