Beautiful, gemmy, cuboctahedral Fluorite crystals with quintessential purple color zoning for the Shangbao Pyrite Mine. There are seven intergrown crystals, the largest being 2.1 cm across. The primary faces of the crystals have very good luster, while the beveled edges are frosted. Looking into these windows, you can see the beautiful color zoning, which for Shangbao often begins with a central purple diamond and then radiates outward. This is a mesmerizing Fluorite, with a lot of unusual little extra features going for it that sets it apart. It is of a style this mine produced in the 1990s, and not today.
