One of the best examples from a new find of fluorite in northern South Africa, on the road to Namibia, that was brought to my attention by Desmond Sacco at the Munich show. This elegant specimen features a single large egg of fluorite in a nest of quartz, making for great aesthetics. the alternating faces of this fluorite are either pebbly or smooth, making for a striking, complex appearance to the crystal. It is very transparent internally, through the clear frontal face. This is an attrractive and highly unusual specimen, and is one of the better examples for its size from the find (more will come down the road, I am sure, but this should always be among the better ones, I would think, from the representative material I have seen so far)
