Tabular, splendent, royal-blue azurite crystals to 1.7cm, with neon-blue edge highlights and a rich azure blue color overall, are perched high on matrix. Contrasting grayish-white calcite adds a nice contrast. The geometry, and sheer number of crystals, and their overall condition (nearly pristine), makes this a very good Tsumeb azurite. The robust, blocky crystal habit is unusual for Tsumeb and even rarer by worldwide standards for the species, making this more than just another Tsumeb azurite specimen. luster is good, as these go.
