Sharp, intergrown chalcopyrites to 1 cm are perched on quartz on this fine miniature specimen. It is an old classic, now seldom seen. The provenance starts in the late 1800s or early 1900s with a collector named A. Pearse Jenkin, from whom it went to the noted collector Arthur Russell (and retains his hand-written label). From him, it went to Spanish collector Joaquin Folch in 1977 (and his label card notes that Russell was said to have acquired the piece in 1926) .
