Very simply, this is a truly unusual single crystal. It is completely gemmy, has excellent purple color, and the main faces are ever-so-slightly stepped windows into the water-clear interior. The lower faces are complexly stepped (etched?) and there is minor attached Sphalerite. How the heck did it form? is it a weird rounded version of the "corner stalks" we sometimes saw from Elmwood in the 1980s? Beautiful!
