A large and significant tourmaline crystal from Russia, which produces only a FRACTION of the tourmalines of the better-known worldwide localities. It has the classic Malkhan deep cranberry color, and is quite gemmy although naturally you cannot see through it because it is so thick. The surface sheen is rich and wet-looking, again classic for the locality. It has a fine, broad termination, too. Good quality Russian tourmalines are just very few and far between. This is a massive one that will stand out nicely in a showcase as a great example of the style, without breakin gthe bank. BETTER In PERSON!!! 9 x 5 x 4 cm
