Emplaced on matrix are clusters of glassy and gemmy, cognac-colored crystals of andradite var. topazolite, to 1 cm across. They are beautifully lustrous and glassy, and arranged like flowers in the middle of the metamorphosed limestone matrix, now transformed into massive white garnet.
