A rare and relatively large example of this classic turn-of-the-1900s pseudomorph in which azurite formed a cast around selenite, which then dissolved out and left the crystals hollow. Sparkling microcrystalline azurite lines the inside. This specimen is not only large but has excellent color. It appears as if the termination is intact, though there is a hollow gap in it (as is common in these, the azurite seldom covering the top before the gypsum disappeared, we presume.) This is an extremely unusual, showy specimen and these replacements are, to my knowledge, unique in the world in their size and quality. Joe Budd photos.
