A highly lustrous, euhedral, sharp, deep wine-red rutile crystal is perched atop pyrophyllite matrix on this classic, older material from the Champion Mine of California. The crystal measures 2.4 x 2.4 cm. Classic material, much rarer than Georgia rutile. Ex. Mullane Collection.
