Lustrous pink flattened rhombs of rhodochrosite are perched on a lighter pink matrix consisting of a sharper, more equant rhombohedron acting as a natural pedestal! The rhombs measure .75 cm across. This specimen is most likely from the American Tunnel at Silverton.
