Rarely do you see large, floater fluorite cubes, such as this, from Southern Illinois. This translucent, lustrous, rich purple complex crystal has interesting, stepped-growth faces and is fabulously and preferentially accented with a multitude of starkly contrasting, tiny baryte crystals. Many of the crystals are water-clear and are doubly terminated. This specimen is nearly pristine. This outstanding specimen is from the much less common, Rosiclare Sub-District. Ex. Mullane Collection. Classic, hard to get material.
