A LARGE, lustrous, nicely striated, brassy pyrite cube from the famous Bingham Canyon open pit copper mine of Utah. Bingham Canyon was not known as a fine specimen producer, so a piece of this sized and quality is EXCEPTIONAL, despite the admittedly worn/damaged/ rough edges. The old label says that this piece was acquired from well-known US collector, Leo Nedlin, in 1940! Classic, old-time and hard to obtain material from the George Elling Collection.
